Ready for more flowers??

Echinacea, or also called Coneflower.

Goldenrod...hey this one sometimes gets a bad rap!
It's really gorgeous, especially when blooming in masses.

Cow Slobbers....oh ok! It's a Common Spiderwort.
But growing up, we always knew them as Cow Slobbers, because when you break one off, it has a gooey, sticky, mucous like sap that runs out. Yep! Fun to play with!

Smooth Sumac, not necessarily what you'd think of when thinking flowers.
But it does flower, and the birds love to feed on it.

This will make some nice meals for the birdies!
This is a woody shrub that can grow fairly tall. The leaves turn a bright beautiful red in the fall.

Trumpet Vine....Hummingbirds flock to this stuff.

Yucca, or Soap Lily

A little closer view.

I can tell you right now, what few pictures I have here, is not even the tip of the iceberg, compared to the vast numbers of wildflowers found around here. Not even close!

There's some interesting things about some of these flowers!

Goldenrod    Coneflowers    Yucca glauca
